How to use the Passive - Perfect Tense

This is formed/used by using the perfect tense of WERDEN, and the participle of the other relevant verb.

Perfect Tense of WERDEN right-arrow e.g. Ich bin geworden
In the Perfect Tense in the Passive, the "ge-" is dropped from geworden.

Verb elements in a sentence using the Passive in the Perfect tense
ich werde...
du wirst...
er/sie/es wird...
wir werden...
ihr werdet...
sie/Sie werden...
+ participle (e.g. gemacht) + worden

e.g.
ACTIVE: Die Regierung hat eine neue Straße gebaut. (The government has built a new road.)
bauen (to build) right-arrow participle = gebaut
PASSIVE : Eine neue Straße ist von der Regierung gebaut worden. (A new road has been built by the government.)

e.g.
NORMAL : Das Auto hat den Abfalleimer zerstört. (The car has destroyed the rubbish bin.)
zerstören (to destroy) right-arrow participle = zerstört
PASSIVE : Der Abfalleimer ist durch das Auto zerstört worden. (The bin has been destroyed by the car.)
