Das geht mir auf den Wecker. = That gets up my nose (on my nerves).
sich einer Person (= Dative case) in den Weg stellen = to stop someone, to hold someone up, to make difficulties for someone
Sie sind auf der gleichen Wellenlänge. = They are tuned to the same wavelength (They understand each other).
Ich kenne ??? wie meine Westentasche. = I know ??? like the back of my hand.
Wo ein Wille ist, ist auch ein Weg. = Where there's a will there's a way.
Ich nehme dich beim Wort. = I'll take you up on that.
Jetzt geht es um die Wurst. = It's now or never.
Nicht dass ich wüßte. = Not that I know of.

Lass mich nicht zappeln. = Don't keep me in suspense (on tenterhooks).
Es ist höchste Zeit, dass... = It's high time that...
die Zeit vertrödeln = to fritter away (waste) time
Kommt Zeit, kommt Rat. = Time will tell.
Wer zuerst kommt, mahlt zuerst. = First come, first serve.
"Mir liegt das Wort auf der Zunge!" = "The word is on the tip of my tongue, but I can't think of it right now."
